Full-Time Radiology Physician Opportunity – John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital
Are you a Board-Certified Radiologist in Chicago looking to join a high-performing department at a world-class teaching hospital? Cook County Health is seeking an expert Radiology physician to join our flagship facility, John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital. This role offers the opportunity to supervise and interpret complex diagnostic imaging studies, including CT, MRI, US, and Fluoroscopy, within one of the nation’s busiest Level 1 trauma centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and interpret Diagnostic Imaging studies (CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Fluoroscopy).
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide life-changing care to the greater Chicago community.
  • Engage in the supervision of residents and medical staff within an ACGME-accredited environment.
  • Maintain the highest standards of state-of-the-art diagnostic services.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Active Illinois Medical License (or eligible to obtain prior to start).
  • Training: Completion of an ACGME/AOA accredited Diagnostic Radiology Residency.
  • Fellowship: Currently enrolled in or completed a Body Imaging or Neuroradiology fellowship in the U.S.
  • Certification: ABR or AOBR certified (or eligible).
  • Credentials: Valid Federal DEA certificate.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience or extra training in Pediatric Radiology.
  • Recent diagnostic radiology research or scholarly activity (within 24 months).
  • History as a Chief Resident in an accredited program.
  • Demonstrated commitment to public health or underserved populations.
