General Surgeon

Job Description

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible General Surgeon to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will perform a broad range of surgical procedures, provide preoperative and postoperative care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role offers opportunities for both elective and emergency surgeries in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose patients requiring surgical intervention
• Perform general surgical procedures, including laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgeries
• Provide preoperative consultations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Manage postoperative patient care, including follow-ups and complication prevention
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, nurses, and other specialists to ensure patient safety and care coordination
• Stay updated on the latest surgical techniques, equipment, and best practices
• Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to hospital and medical board regulations

Qualifications & Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery
• Valid state medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Strong technical skills and experience with a variety of surgical procedures
• Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Fellowship training in a subspecialty (e.g., Cardiothoracic Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, Trauma Surgery, Surgical Oncology)
• Experience in a high-volume hospital or outpatient surgical center
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
