Primary Care ARNP/PA Position in Venice FL

Overview

Busy Internal Medicine Practice seeks a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with experience in Internal Medicine/Primary Care for our Venice FL  location. The role involves patient evaluation, management of 12-17 adult patients, and treatment, preferably with Managed Care experience.

Under the direction of the Attending Physician, the Provider will establish treatment protocols, diagnose, initiate therapy, and monitor patients.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments of patients.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Manage chronic conditions and provide education on disease prevention and health promotion.
Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results, including ICD-9 coding for documentation.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
Provide care in specialized areas such as ophthalmology, dementia care, and infant care as needed.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including airway management when necessary.
Participate in hospital medicine practices and assist in sterile processing procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Nursing or related field with a focus on Nurse Practitioner studies.
Current Nurse Practitioner certification and state licensure to practice.
2 years Experience in primary care.
Proficient in performing physical examinations and managing various health conditions.
Strong communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in healthcare

· BLS and ACLS certification

· Active Florida License*

· EMR/EHR experience preferred
