A well-established behavioral hospital in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced Board Certified Psychiatrist to serve as Medical Director for Adult Inpatient Services.

Medical Director Responsibilities

As Medical Director for Adult Inpatient Services you will provide both clinical and operational leadership across the behavioral health inpatient unit. Key responsibilities include:

  • Clinical leadership of the adult inpatient psychiatric team
  • Oversight of clinical operations and quality improvement
  • Direct adult inpatient patient care
  • Quality improvement initiatives and outcome tracking
  • Regulatory compliance and accreditation oversight
  • Treatment team collaboration and supervision
  • Physician supervision and mentorship
  • Policy development and implementation
  • Participation in hospital leadership and administrative functions

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified in Psychiatry — required
  • Completion of ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency program
  • Active Pennsylvania medical license or eligibility to obtain
  • DEA registration
  • Inpatient psychiatric leadership experience required — prior Medical Director or clinical leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Strong administrative, operational, and quality improvement skills
  • Excellent communication and physician leadership abilities
  • Commitment to behavioral health excellence and patient-centered care
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and accreditation standards preferred
