Medical Director Responsibilities
As Medical Director for Adult Inpatient Services you will provide both clinical and operational leadership across the behavioral health inpatient unit. Key responsibilities include:
- Clinical leadership of the adult inpatient psychiatric team
- Oversight of clinical operations and quality improvement
- Direct adult inpatient patient care
- Quality improvement initiatives and outcome tracking
- Regulatory compliance and accreditation oversight
- Treatment team collaboration and supervision
- Physician supervision and mentorship
- Policy development and implementation
- Participation in hospital leadership and administrative functions

Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified in Psychiatry — required
- Completion of ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency program
- Active Pennsylvania medical license or eligibility to obtain
- DEA registration
- Inpatient psychiatric leadership experience required — prior Medical Director or clinical leadership experience strongly preferred
- Strong administrative, operational, and quality improvement skills
- Excellent communication and physician leadership abilities
- Commitment to behavioral health excellence and patient-centered care
- Experience with regulatory compliance and accreditation standards preferred
