Exciting Opportunity to Build a New Practice from the Ground Up

A growing physician-led managed care organization is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to lead a brand-new primary care clinic scheduled to open in September–October 2026 in Hoover, Alabama.

This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial physician who enjoys building patient relationships, growing a practice, and making a lasting impact within the community.

As the founding provider for this location, the physician will play a key role in establishing the clinic’s presence, developing a patient panel, and helping drive long-term growth and success.

About the Practice

This organization focuses on providing high-quality, relationship-based care to adult and senior patients within a value-based care model.

Physicians are encouraged to spend meaningful time with patients while emphasizing preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and improved long-term outcomes.

The successful candidate will be comfortable practicing independently and excited about helping establish a new clinic within a rapidly growing market.

Responsibilities

Outpatient Primary Care

Provide comprehensive primary care services to adult and geriatric patients in a value-based care setting.

Practice Growth

Help build and develop the patient panel through community engagement, patient satisfaction, and exceptional clinical care.

Chronic Disease Management

Manage common chronic conditions including:

  • Diabetes
  • Hypertension
  • COPD
  • Cardiovascular Disease
  • Hyperlipidemia
  • Other chronic medical conditions

Preventive Medicine

Focus on wellness, preventive care, and reducing avoidable hospitalizations.

Team Collaboration

Work closely with care coordinators, support staff, and organizational leadership to ensure clinic success and quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in:
    • Internal Medicine (IM)
    • Family Medicine (FM)
  • Active Alabama Medical License or Ability to Obtain
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Interest in value-based care and population health
  • Desire to help grow a new clinic and patient panel
